National Ice Cream Day!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for …

It’s almost National Ice Cream day (July 19) and it seems like the perfect way to jazz up a week of endless summer days (and heat!). Get the inside scoop on the Jollity way to set the perfect (pint) party.

We loved mixing and matching our pieces for a themed tablescape. For the centerpieces we used these ceramic ice cream cones and filled the tops with our 3” honeycombs. For serving, went for a Neapolitan feel with the Pink and White Striped Dinner Plates, Bubble Mint Dessert Plates, Just Peachy Dessert Plates and Mint to Be cups. We also used a bright and colorful table runner to make it feel like it was really worth melting for!

Did someone say sundaes?! An ice cream sundae bar is one of our favorite, easy and crowd pleasing hosting tips. No crazy recipes or baking necessary! All you need to do is buy different ice cream flavors, your favorite toppings and whatever serveware you need. Set it all up on a table, kitchen counter, or on a bar cart!

Lastly, if you have a few adults sprinkled across the guest list you can add some boozy milkshakes to the menu. Here’s a recipe for one that we all having everyone partying like its sherbet day.

  • 3/4 Cup Whole Milk
  • 1 1/2 Cup Vanilla Ice Cream
You can also use coffee ice cream
  • 1/3 Cup Caramel Sauce
    Store bought or homemade
  • 1/2 Cup Ice
  • Whipped Cream
  • Sprinkles
  • 2 oz of Bourbon

Put the milk, ice cream, caramel sauce and ice into a blender, blend until smooth. Drizzle the caramel sauce into one of our posh cups and top with whipped cream and sprinkles! To make it into an adult dessert, before you add the whipped cream, splash a bourbon floater on top. Yum! This recipe should make enough for you and someone to share, so grab a fellow ice cream lover and dig in!

If you decide to throw an at home ice cream party or are recreating our delicious milkshake recipe, we would love all the ways you sprinkled the day with love! Tag us on social media  @jollityandco and use hashtag #partywithjollity.
