Lemon Party

It’s officially lemonade season and lemons have been all the rage as of late. Which is a party theme we can totally get behind. So when life handed us lemons what did we do? Throw a lemon themed party of course! Here’s a few tips for a throwing a simply sweet lemon party.

WALL DECOR

When setting up for a party, we always recommend that you start with putting up wall decor. Especially if it’s going above or behind a table, that way you’re not having to move a beautifully decorated table around to hang items up.

For this adorable and simple backdrop we used 5″ yellow balloons, fishing line and printable leaves. To create this party garland all you have to do is blow up the balloons, string them together with fishing line and then stick the leaves to the balloons. We recommend using double side sticky tape or a low heat glue gun. That’s it!

CENTERPIECES

Once your wall decor is finished, put your table into position and start with a base. We love using paper table runners because they come in a variety or colors and patterns, plus they make for an easy cleanup!

Next, place your centerpieces on the table. For this party we went with fresh lemons and used trays we had on hand. We also added in some cute faux plants for a pop of green. If you have a glass bowl or vase, you can display lemons that way. If you don’t want to use fresh lemons, opt for florals, a green garland, or even yellow honeycombs!

PLACE SETTINGS

Now that the centerpieces are done, it’s time to set the place settings! This is our favorite step because it brings the table together and there are so many pieces that can be mixed and matched based on whatever the party theme is. For this table we went with:

To incorporate our lemon theme into each place setting, we added lemon place cards and lemon straw attachments!

Now that your decor is up and table is set, it’s time to host away! If you need a lemon themed cocktail, check out this Rosé Lemonade Sangria we made. We promise it won’t let you down!
