DIY Halloween String Lights

Most people, including us, live for Halloween! It’s the one night out of year where we can dress up, eat tons of candy, carve pumpkins, etc. (Insert fun Mean Girls quote here.Haha!) Most importantly we can decorate everything! Whether you’re throwing a party, or setting up decor for trick-or-treaters, these Halloween string lights will add a spooktacular look to your celebration!

Materials Needed:

Step 1: Turn your baking cups upside down, so the bottom of the cup is upright. Using your sharpie or markers draw on the front of the cup. The options are endless you can draw bats, jack-o-lanterns, witch hats, or ghosts; get creative! Draw on as many cups as desired to fill out the space you need to cover (Bonus! It’s so easy to add extras!)

Step 2: With a pen, poke a hole in the top of the baking cup and then insert the light bulb from the string lights into the top.

Step 3: Hang them up or lay them on a table and  decorate away!

This DIY is so simple and it makes for a great project to do with kids! They will love decorating the baking cups and seeing them hung on the light string. It’s also a great way to use up old baking cups and it can be done for any holiday, party, or birthday! If you make this DIY we’d love to see it, along with your other Halloween decor.
