Hi Friends!
Over here at Jollity & Co. we think everyone deserves a night with their gal pals on the reg. Taylor Swift is not the only one with a #squad – it’s time to rep and we want to help by sharing how we kick it with our besties, Jollity style. Gather your crew for a #Friyay night with fried chicken, waffles drowning in syrup, and boozy drinks, that will beat any night out!
For the decor we hung DIY word banners using Instagram worthy phrases. We mixed these with a gold geometric banner and some metallic balloon lips for a girly and chic look.

And of course the table was all about the accessories.

Shout your #squadgoals loud and proud with our cake topper and drink stirrers that your friends are going to love! For this look we mixed ombre and geometric plates with coordinating cups, napkins, straws with printable straw flare, and baking cups for the food and drinks. For our favor bags we took our DIY glitter letter stickers and blinged out our striped treat bags just to add a little extra somethin’-somethin’.
For the food we had a diverse menu with waffles being the string that tied it all together. A girls gotta have options, right?

We had chicken and waffles with a maple pecan syrup. (It’s okay if you’re drooling a little)
For the chicken and waffles just grab some Mini Eggo waffles and whatever chicken tenders you prefer! Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can bread and fry your own chicken. The maple pecan syrup is what makes this a drool worthy dish that your friends will be talking about in hushed, reverent tones for weeks to come.
Maple Pecan Syrup:
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the pecans and cook 3ish minutes. Add the maple syrup and salt and cook, stirring constantly until the it has reached a syrupy consistency.
Big thanks to our friend Pam at the Twisted Fork for teaching us how to make this AMAZING syrup! If you’re in Hampton Roads you HAVE to check her out! She does events big and small and we always loooooove to work with her! Her food is #amazeballs.
Print Waffle skewer toppers here.

A waffle bar with lots of different topping options, as well as waffle sundaes. All you have to do for this is pick your fav toppings, syrups, and ice cream.
We used plain white kraft paper as a table runner so we could write all the different topping options on it!

Okay, we have to talk about waffle pizzas! Sooooooooo tasty and easy, you can choose whatever toppings you like. We went with a Margarita style pizza. Just pick your toppings, put it on your waffle, and pop it in the oven to melt your cheese. This might just become THE go-to meal in our household.

For the waffles use your favorite waffle mix. Doesn’t matter whether it’s store-bought or a secret family recipe, whatever’s easiest!

And if you don’t already have a waffle maker, we’re pretty nuts about this one:
Waring WMK600FR refurbished Double Belgian Waffle Maker (Certified Refurbished)
Last, but not least, we had these amazing gourmet Waffle Lollipops with mini to-go bottles of syrup as favors for our besties! Print your own “My Chicks N’ Waffles” labels here.
And since the world has gone coloring book crazy, we thought it’d be fun to come up with our own coloring page poster. The poster doubles as easy, relaxing entertainment and decor! Just grab your favorite markers, pens, or colored pencils and go crazy.

Click here to download and print this poster(it will print on 4 separate sheets). Once you finish coloring it in just line the 4 pages up so it creates the above image. ( Make sure your printer scaling is set to 100%. Your printer may leave a bit of a white edge around each page – go ahead and trim that down).
This girls night wouldn’t be complete without a delicious drink to go with our waffles. What could be better than an adult version of chocolate milk?!

This drink is so simple, you could throw this together at the last-minute without breaking a sweat. It only requires 4 ingredients:
- Baileys
- Kahlúa
- Vodka
- Chocolate Syrup
Mix the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker with ice. Add a Mini Eggo for garnish, taste, and enjoy!
We had so much fun throwing this party, and can’t wait to see how you guys add your own twist to it!
